I started teaching the new Electric Guitar building class at Red Rocks
School of Fine Woodworking (where Robbie also teaches) this year, and
wanted to post a few pics of my students (and TA, who is on the right in
the group photo).

Fortunately I only have 3 students this semester, because it turns out that
teaching is pretty difficult. It is actually a load of fun though, and I'm
certainly learning a lot myself. Everyone is doing a great job too.

Thanks, Hesh. Yes, that is my TA, Robbie Marsh, with the archtop.

That looks like a Motley Crew there Wish I could have taken this course Mike, but I guess there is always next year! Great looking guitars you have there, you should be very proud to have come this far in short time. Will everyone finish before the semester is out?

Thanks, Tracy. They're actually not all that motley. They really are
doing some nice work, and I'm hoping everyone will finish. Finish is
really the key word there. I was thinking of using 2 part polyurethane,
but I don't really want to expose them to that. I might try out Target's
poly.

Sign up for the fall semester. I'll be moving out of state after that.

I can vouch for the quality work that Mike and his students are doing as I have seen it first hand!! There are going to be some really nice guitars coming out of that class and Mike is an excellent teacher.

Thank you, Sr. O'Brien, for your compliments and support.

It was really Robbie who recommended me to teach the class in the first
place, by the way.

I second Robbie's accolades, and offer that Mike is a fine gentleman as well!
Having spoken with him a time or two...

Aw shucks, Geoff. Thanks. You're a fine gentleman yourself.
